What an incredible few days in Paris! The Paris Deco Off, set in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, immersed us in the charm of this iconic city, with its quintessential cobbled streets and lively restaurants on every corner. The area was brimming with stylish showrooms and pop-up shops, showcasing everything from exquisite rugs to luxurious fabrics and wallpapers—there was a hidden gem to discover at every turn.
Thoughtfully designed signage and detailed maps guided us to our favourite suppliers, while oversized fabric-adorned lanterns suspended from trees and buildings cast a mesmerising glow as night fell.
It was a joy to explore the latest collections, connect with supplier teams, and delve into the stories behind their designs. With an array of tempting new pattern books and fabrics, inspiration was everywhere. From Houles and Samuel and Son’s sumptuous trims to Elitis upholstered-look wallpapers and Nobilis’s quirky footstools we have returned home with a bucket list of ideas.
We also had the pleasure of meeting new suppliers, including the exceptional Art et Floritude, whose breathtaking ceramic flowers and intricate metal wall art and lighting offer a truly unique touch for our clients.
We spent countless thrilling hours in the grand, high-ceilinged showrooms, admiring sumptuous wools, velvets, and silks—each fabric brought to life in exquisite furniture and beautifully crafted accessories.
Of course, with all this excitement (and endless walking), it was only right to indulge in Paris’s renowned restaurant scene—it would have been rude not to! Mealtimes became the perfect chance to people-watch and reflect on everything we had discovered in this endlessly inspiring city.
