What was once a small, dark, and outdated 1980s dark wood kitchen has now been completely reimagined into a breathtaking open-plan space filled with natural light. The original kitchen, with its heavy oak cabinetry, limited workspace, and enclosed layout, felt cramped and uninspired. Dark wood tones absorbed what little natural light entered the space, making it feel even smaller. The design lacked flow, and the separation from the dining and living areas restricted the way the homeowners could use the space. With outdated appliances, limited storage, and a colour scheme that did not reflect the homeowners' style, it was clear that, before they could move into their new home, a transformation was due. 

Over the course of 12 months, this home underwent a dramatic transformation, beginning with a complete strip-down to its original foundations and exposed stone walls. Every internal element—floors, stud walls, and outdated features—was meticulously removed, creating a blank canvas for a thoughtfully reimagined layout. This extensive process allowed us to carefully plan a modern, open-plan ground floor that enhances both flow and functionality while also optimising the upper level for larger, more considered bedrooms that align perfectly with the client’s needs.

Now, the kitchen has been completely revitalised into an expansive, light-filled area that feels both luxurious and inviting.
